Principal Lawyer, James Simpson, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from the University of Tasmania and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University.

James is a passionate advocate who works tirelessly to ensure just outcomes for his clients. With a meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the criminal justice process, he believes that preparation is key to achieving the best possible results.

Prior to practicing exclusively in criminal law, James worked in both Federal and State politics, at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), and as a commercial litigation lawyer at a boutique Melbourne firm. This broad and diverse range of experiences holds him in good stead to provide considered, strategic, and professional advice across a wide spectrum of all your legal matters.
